Salvem el Montserrat a Catalunya- Save Monserrat a Catalonia
L’Ajuntament de Collbató va acordar, el 3 de maig de 2007, l’aprovació inicial del projecte d’ampliació de la zona industrial Les Ginesteres, de 7 hectàrees, en 21 hectàrees més. El projecte representa la destrucció del millor sòl agrícola de Collbató i una amenaça per a l'entorn privilegiat de Montserrat, molt especialment per als espais del Parc Natural de Montserrat i de la Xarxa Natura 2000 que limiten amb el nou polígon industrial. L’equip de govern està tirant endavant l’ampliació malgrat els informes desfavorables dels serveis tècnics d’Urbanisme i de Medi Ambient del propi Ajuntament, que la consideren desproporcionada i injustificada. El Consell de Medi Ambient, amb representació d’entitats i veïns, també s’ha manifestat en contra del projecte d’ampliació.
Collbató’s Council agreed the 3rd of May of 2007 the initial approval to extend the industrial park of Les Ginesteres from 17 acres to 70 acres. This project represents the destruction of the best agricultural fields in Collbató and a menace to the privileged surroundings of Montserrat, especially for the Natural Park of Montserrat and the Nature Web 2000 that border on the new industrial park. The Council is going ahead with this project despite the negative reports from the Urbanism and Environmental Technical Services from the same Council, which considered it massive and unjustifiable. The Environment Department, with representation from neighbourhood associations and citizens, strongly objects this project.
